Picksy Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Qariq Apps (“Qariq,” “we,” “us”) handles information in the Picksy mobile application on iOS and Android.

Studio-wide website practices are described in our Qariq Apps Privacy Policy. Where this page and the studio policy differ for Picksy, this page takes priority.

What Picksy is

Picksy is a local party game. Players place fingers on the screen to pick a person, form teams, choose an order, spin a decision wheel, or play Adult, Party, and Friends prompt rounds. You do not need an account to use the app.

Information we do not collect

Picksy does not require a Qariq login. We do not operate a Picksy gameplay server, and we do not receive your custom dares, questions, or in-game choices. Custom prompts you add stay on your device unless you copy them elsewhere yourself.

We do not sell personal information.

Information stored on your device

Picksy stores preferences locally so the app works the way you left it. This may include:

• Theme, language, haptics, and sound settings
• Onboarding and “don’t show again” instruction flags
• Play reminder on/off
• Custom prompts you add, hide, or edit
• Premium / pack unlock flags after a store purchase
• Local ad-frequency helpers (for example, last interstitial time)

You can reset custom prompts to the built-in set in Settings. Uninstalling the app removes this local data.

Advertising

The free version may show interstitial and rewarded ads from Google AdMob. Ads are not shown during active gameplay. AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers, coarse location, advertising data, and similar technical information to serve, measure, and limit ads, subject to your device and consent settings.

In regions that require it (including the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), we use Google’s User Messaging Platform so you can choose whether ads may use personal data. You can revisit those choices from Settings → Consent / privacy options.

Purchases

Optional in-app purchases (premium and content packs) are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple or Google may share a non-sensitive purchase receipt or entitlement status with the app so we can unlock features on your device. Restore Purchases uses the same store account.

Notifications

If you enable play reminders, Picksy schedules local notifications on your device. Those reminders are not sent from our servers. You can turn them off in Settings or in system notification settings.

Adult content

Adult Mode includes 18+ prompts. Those texts are shipped with the app and any custom prompts you write stay on-device. We do not receive the content of dares you play or create.

Children

Picksy is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age of digital consent in your country). Adult Mode is intended for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through ads or store accounts, contact us and we will help you work with the relevant provider where we can.

Analytics and crash reporting

Picksy does not currently use Firebase Analytics or crash reporting. If we add diagnostic tools later, we will update this policy before they start collecting data.

Data retention

On-device settings last until you change them, reset prompts, or uninstall the app. Advertising and store partners retain data according to their own policies. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to respond and operate the studio.

• Turn off ads by purchasing premium (where available)
• Manage ad consent in Settings
• Disable play reminders in Settings
• Reset or delete custom prompts on the device
• Limit ad tracking in iOS/Android system settings
